A new year...

As most of you know, John's father, Louis, came to live with us after the death of his wife and John's mother. He has adapted well, has settled into a routine, and "loves his little nest."
I retired in August after 26 years of nursing. I'm loving it. Have already been to Fla. to visit kids and grandkids three times, and plan on many more visits.
John's beginning his tax season and looking forward to it. He works from home now.
My sister, Phyllis, was just recently diagnosed with breast cancer and can use your prayers and well wishes.
Mom is doing great--still in her apartment--is very active socially with church, card club, women's group, choir, friends, etc. She just turned 83 years young and you'd never know it to look at her.
Jeff was married to Heather Franco, an attorney, on St. Thomas in December. They are very happy and a perfect match. We are so fortunate to have her as a member of our family and love her very much.
Julie is teaching preK and finishing up her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development. Then she plans to go for her Bachelor's. We are very proud of her, balancing, family, home, work and school. She is so good with children; this is definitely her niche. Ask Katelyn (her 4 year old daughter & my granddaughter) and Doug (her hubby)--they'll verify this. Doug is a landscaper; Katelyn is in PreK at the same school where Julie teaches, is in gymnastics/tumbling, is very outgoing and simply adorable.
David, Kim and kids are busier than ever. Dave is still a deputy with the Sarasota County Sheriff's dept. as a warrants officer; Kim is working part-time as RN at an extended care facility in Venice, Florida; Michael is a Sophomore in at Punta Gorda H.S., an excellent student, handsome young man, and is looking forward to getting his driver's license in Feb.; Kristen is in Junior High (7th grade), plays soccer, talks on the phone constantly to friends, and is beautiful young lady; Mackenzie is in Kindergarden, takes the bus every day, takes tap and ballet, is already reading, and is a little princess; Hailey is in preschool, very independent, takes tap and ballet, and is a little cutie pie. Never a dull moment it this household.
Well, that about wraps it up for now.
Once I get the word out about my "website", I hope to hear from you from time to time.
Love, Vicki aka. Grammy

Hey Mom, Cool web page! The wedding DVD came in the mail a couple of days ago. We want to watch it with you rather than send you a copy, so hurry and come back for a visit. Time for dinner. Gotta go. Love Jeff & Heather
